Having your own place is a very freeing experience that allows you to learn a lot about yourself. Living alone definitely has its upsides and downsides, but it’s an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life.

Pros

  • Everything is yours
  • You can eat whatever you want, whenever you want, with no judgement
  • You get the whole bed to yourself
  • You can walk around naked if you want
  • The remote is always in your control
  • Nobody complains about your weird habits
  • You can decorate in any style you desire
  • You can sing and dance in your living room as loud or crazy as you want
  • You don’t have to clean if you don’t feel like it (just make sure to do it before any bugs come)
  • If talk to your pets or yourself no one thinks your crazy
  • No one eats your food or borrows your stuff
  • Everything is always exactly the same way you left it`
  • You control who comes over
  • It’s quiet

Cons

  • It’s lonely
  • It’s expensive
  • If something breaks you can’t blame anyone else
  • You have to do all the cleaning
  • And all the cooking
  • If guest come over and it’s a mess you they know it’s you
  • You have to kill all the bugs
  • It gets boring
  • You have to hire (or bribe with pizza and beer) moving help
  • You are responsible for everything
  • You always come home to an empty house
  • It’s a bit scary when you hear a noise in the middle of the night
  • If you lock yourself out there is no one to let you in
  • It’s quiet
