1. Cards Against Humanity
This is a favorite and can be found at parties and bars everywhere. If you’ve ever played Apples to Apples, which I also recommend, this is basically the same game, just for adults. It’s described as ” A Party Game for Horrible People” and their cards push the limits on sex, drugs, race and pretty much anything else you can think of.

There are so many expansion packs to add more fun to the game as well and most come with plenty of cards. The red, green and blue box each comes with 300 cards. There are even themed packs starting at just $5 with themes such as 90’s, Nerd, Weed and Holiday packs.

2. Joking Hazard
This game is very similar to Cards Against Humanity but with pictures! It’s described as an offensive game from the minds of Cyanide & Happiness that requires 3-10 Bad People. There are multiple enhancement decks if you need a little more with your game.

You basically make a funny comic strip of situations that players have to complete. One person starts it off and the rest of the group has to complete it and the funniest/most terrible joke wins! This game pushes the limits with racy jokes but it just makes it that much more fun.

3. The Game of Real Life

I found this game at a Saturday market in Portland Oregon while on a school trip when I was 15. The guy who created it was selling it there. I was just a kid so all I could afford was the laminated version instead of the normal board game, but this version has actually come in handy because whenever we had a spill of one of our delicious drinks, it didn’t ruin the game.

The game starts off like many others with a character, health, money and happiness. The goal of the game is to have the most happiness points at the end. You’ll quickly realize this game is not like The Game of Life, that you’re used to. Within the first four spaces you can be aborted, circumcised, or orphaned!

Keep playing and you’ll have chances to do drugs, have sex and hopefully make it far enough to have a midlife crisis! All with consequences of course.

And if you can’t make it to the Portland Saturday market and want to get your own copy check out the owner’s website here.

4. Drunken Tower

This game is basically Jenga mixed with alcohol. Regular Jenga is a ton of fun too and have you ever played Giant Jenga? It’s a great bar or back yard game.

The special thing about the drinking game version is when you grab a piece you have the chance of either taking a drink, doing an action, getting another turn, or maybe nothing all while trying to keep the tower standing! There are so many different versions of this game but all of them that I’ve tried are fun! The one I have is an old one I originally found at a store on clearance. It’s lasted me over the years so it was definitely a good buy.

This particular version is a XL version so it’s a little bigger than your usual Jenga. It also comes with 4 shot glasses because you will probably end up taking at least a shot or two!

5. Exploding Kittens NSFW Edition
This game can be played by kids too, the regular version is for ages 7 and up. This is the NSFW Edition (Not Safe For Work – ADULTS ONLY!). The big difference is the graphics on the cards are not appropriate for kids. The cards are great though when you’re playing with unsuspecting players. There is the original version that is appropriate for ages 7 and up if you have kids or don’t want the NSFW version.

This game is great for competitive party people because it’s a game of strategy and elimination. Each card you draw is a chance to find an exploding kitten but with the right cards and a little bit of skill you can beat your friends.

6. Red Dragon Inn
This is a fun game where you have to keep your character from getting too drunk or beat up. The setting is an old pub and you have to keep your character in balance while he or she parties. You can’t get too drunk and you can’t lose too much health. It’s fun to play a game at a party where the characters are also having a party.

The first game is only for up to four players but if you get the expansion packs you can add more players! There are also sequels to this game as well!

7. Never Have I Ever
*Warning! Do Not Play This Game With Siblings or Parents.*  Playing with family members will create awkward scenarios when they have to answer awkward questions about their sex life you’d rather not know about. The version I have is an old one so newer versions have different cards that are even more graphic than old versions!

There are multiple styles of this game as well and you truly don’t even need a board to play. There is a version that is only cards which is a ton of fun as well.

My favorite version is the board game version. You roll the dice and depending on where you land you may have to answer an I’ve never question, take a drink or even hop on one leg!

If you get a question your answer will determine what happens next. It’s a lot of fun and you get the chance to learn a lot about the people you are playing with.

8. Categories/Ring of Fire/Kings Cup

This is another game with multiple versions but the same idea. You’ve probably played it before under one of these names at a party when you were younger or just a few days ago.

It’s the game where you draw cards from a deck that are usually spread out in a circle on the table. Each card is linked to an action and it’s always different depending on what version you are playing. Each action usually revolves around a challenge where the loser, losers, or even just everyone has to drink.

Sometimes there will be a big cup in the middle and every time you get a King or a specific card you have to add some of your drink to the cup. The person who draws the last King or a specific card will have to drink the whole cup, no matter what’s in it! This can be a fun game to get drunk because that’s basically how you feel at the end of each game.

This is a version I have not played before as the one I have is no longer being made, but it’s a revamped extreme version that seems like alot of fun!

9. Imagiff

This game is great when you are with people who you know pretty well. It’s a lot harder and somewhat less fun when you don’t really know the people you are playing with. This game can also be played by kids but it is also fun to play with a group of friends or family.

You start off by writing names of all the people playing, up to 8 people in this version. If you have less than 8 people you fill in the rest of the spots with people everyone knows. It’s usually more fun to play with real people on the board but celebrities work too.

This particular version is the one I have. I’ve played other versions that I seemed to be longer and have different questions, but this version is a lot of fun too. I usually end up playing twice through though because the board is quite short and the game ends a little too soon.

10. Family Feud After Hours

This game is played like a typical Family Feud game with a host and 2 or more players. You can play with teams just like the TV version too. If you only have two people, you can still play but you have to take turns answering different questions and if your opponent misses a question you obviously can’t answer it because you’ll have all the answers in your hand.

The questions aren’t very racy although it’s rated 17+. The game is however geared towards adults with a lot of questions about marriage, work and habits of men and women. There are romantic questions but they are really tame compared to others games. This is definitely a great party game if you have a bigger group of people who wouldn’t like the other games on this list.
